Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory, demyelinating and chronic disease, with one of its symptoms, the urinary and sexual dysfunction, which can affect men and women and has a negative impact on the quality of life.
Objectives: To evaluate sexual dysfunction in men with MS.
Methods: : A cross-sectional quantitative study in which 34 men, aged between 20 and 70 years, were evaluated by means of the questionnaire evaluating male sexual function (IIEF-15), performed at the first consultation of urology, Social Organization in Brazil.
Results: There was a close correlation between the significance between age and orgasm and statistically significant for the cross between the type of MS (RR) and erectile function, showing greater difficulty in these cases.
Conclusions: It is possible to verify that for this sample the type of MS (RR) is correlated with the worse performance of erectile function.
